Sakumzi Rugby Organisation News Update (February – May 2026)

Since February 2026, Sakumzi Rugby Organisation has continued to grow from strength to strength, with our young players showing commitment, discipline, and passion for rugby both on and off the field.

Our boys have been training hard every week, improving their skills, teamwork, and fitness. Their dedication has been inspiring, and it is clear that the future of rugby in our community is bright.

One of the highlights of the season was welcoming special visitors from Scrum5 and Max from the United Kingdom, who joined us for rugby clinics. Their visit brought valuable coaching knowledge, motivation, and excitement to our young athletes. The players learned new techniques and gained confidence through these sessions.

After weeks of preparation, our Under-16 team had the honour of participating in the Wynberg Boys Festival. They played a tough match against Jan van Riebeeck High School, narrowly losing 12–15. Despite the result, the boys played excellent rugby, showing courage, teamwork, and determination against strong opposition. We are proud of their performance and fighting spirit.

Another exciting moment came when we welcomed visitors from Brisbane Nudge College for another rugby clinic. It was a great experience for our players to train and interact with international students, creating friendships and learning through sport.

These opportunities continue to prove that rugby can unite people from different backgrounds and countries while opening doors for our youth.

We thank all coaches, volunteers, parents, and supporters who continue to believe in the vision of Sakumzi Rugby Organisation. The journey continues, and we look forward to more growth, more opportunities, and more success in the months ahead.

Together we build champions on and off the field.
